Dagams Skills Development Academy was founded in 2010 and aims to be one of the nation's leading occupational health and safety organisations that provides an extensive range of integrated health and safety solutions.

With proven track records in all aspects of health and safety management, Dagams Skills Development Training is uniquely positioned to work alongside industry leaders to create safer workplaces and achieve positive health and safety outcomes expanding from small business to multinational companies in the public and private sector.

MEET THE TEAM

CEO - RINGO PILLAY

Ringo Pillay is no stranger to the training industry. His humble beginnings started in 1991 at the Department of Health. His passion for people and commitment to the Public enabled him to qualify as a Rescue Paramedic, specialising in Structural Collapse Rescues, Mountain Rescues, Sea Rescues, Swift Water Rescues, and High Angle rescues, Light & Heavy Vehicle Extrication, Aviation and Trench Rescues amongst operational paramedical duties for 16 years.

In 2007, Ringo Pillay resigned from the Department of Health, driven by his passion to Make That Change,  to educate the previously disadvantaged and to share his wealth of knowledge and experience spent a further four years with a Private International Training Academy serving as Coastal Operations Manager, looking after Durban, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town branches.

During this time, he also studied a wide variety of Occupational Health & safety courses and holds a Diploma in Human Resources Management & Training. He is also qualified as a Facilitator, Assessor, Moderator and Design & Develop Outcomes Based Courses. In 2008, he was appointed as a Commissioner of Oaths by the Department of Justice.

In 2010, he resigned to pursue his passion and registered Dagams Skills Development Academy PTY (Ltd). He has since then catapulted his company whilst maintaining discipline, combined with his promise of “Making That Change” to his clients and staff.

Ringo Pillay is a Member of SAIOSH and also submitted for SACCMP registration as a PR Agent. He is also an Independent Practioneer registered with the Health Professionals Council of SA.

OPERATIONS & FINANCE MANAGER - JUDY PILLAY

After completing matric in 1992, Judy Pillay obtained a Diploma in Bookkeeping & Accounting. Judy Pillay has developed excellent Administrative and Project Management skills. She has attended several Pastel related courses including Pastel Accounting and Pastel Payroll.

Judy has joined Dagams Skills Development Academy as the Operations & Finance Manager and has improved the specialised programme and service quality by devising new applications, updating procedures and evaluating system results with users. NLRD and Learnerships are also her key functions.

FACILITATORS/ ASSESSORS & MODERATOR

Dagams Skills Development Academy uses qualified and registered Facilitators, Assessors and Moderators with ETDP, TETA, CETA, HWSETA and the Health Professionals Council of SA.

Dagams boasts a team of dynamic, vibrant, professional Facilitators that conducts all training and assessments in line with the Quality Management Systems in place.

All Facilitators are reviewed regularly to ensure optimum performance and are continuously upgrading their skills to meet with new protocols and standards as set out by SAIOSH, SAQA, HPCSA and the Heart Foundation.

All courses are presented electronically in English via PowerPoint by our multi lingual facilitators and include both theory and practicals.
